Electric Locks
Electric Locks are usually installed at the main entrance gate of apartments and independent houses to provide security to the house and give the owner the option to unlock the door without going to it every time a visitor comes.
Electric locks are often coupled with video door phones and remote kits to remotely unlock the door whenever needed, but can also be used standalone. These locks are electromechanical locks and work even when there is an electricity failure.
Electromagnetic Locks (EM Locks) are used usually on glass doors, wooden doors as well as aluminium doors in office cabins, laboratories, etc. They are usually used with an access control device like a fingerprint reader/card reader or any other access control device to restrict unauthorized access.
When the EM locks are provided with power, they create a magnetic force that holds the door closed until a reader cuts off the power to give access to the authorized person.
